Chancellor Gary S. May did more than receive an honorary degree during his trip back to his alma mater last month.
He appeared on Conversations With Cabrera, the regular interview show hosted by Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera.
Watch the above video to hear May discuss his time as an undergraduate and early-career faculty member, as well as his decision to pursue a role in leadership.

Chancellor Gary S. May: The new UC Davis Multiverse Theater at the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity. The theater name may have been influenced by a certain comic book-loving chancellor.
Instagram: The person behind the show
SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity: Welcome to the @ucdavis Multiverse Theater — and its newly decked-out entranceway!
Savanna (pictured here) is the person you have to thank for keeping you glued to your seats as you watch awe-inspiring shows above you in our high-tech dome theater.
If you have not yet visited the theater, you're in for a treat.
Our "Tour of the Solar System" and "Local Night Sky" shows were created in-house by Savanna & crew. And we're also running a great short film called "Tales of a Time Traveler," narrated by David Tennant, a former "Doctor Who" who is currently starring in the "Around the World in 80 Days" remake on Amazon Video.
Come visit MOSAC and be transported to another space and time!
