The Davis campus's shared service center project will take a huge step forward next week with the announcement of major decisions in regard to the center's finance, human resources and payroll functions:
- Services slated to be included in the shared service center
- Organizational model
- Staffing
- Hiring procedures and timelines
- Space
- High level budget framework
- Staffing implications and layoffs
- Status of systemwide technology implementations
Chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi is among the administrators who are scheduled to address the town hall, which is open to everyone in the campus community.
Besides decisions related to the finance, HR and payroll functions, the agenda also includes an update on the shared service center's information technology component.
The forum is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in 123 Sciences Lecture Hall. As of this morning (Sept. 2), about 300 of the 500 available seats had been reserved.
