There’s still time to vote in California’s primary election, and you can do so on campus.

A Yolo County voter assistance center is open until 8 p.m. today (March 5) in ballrooms A and B of the Activities and Recreation Center. There voters can drop off completed vote-by-mail ballots, request a new ballot, and even register to vote.

Same-day voter registration is available in California, and anyone who is in line when polls close at 8 p.m. will be permitted to vote, regardless of how long the line is.

A ballot drop box is also available until 8 p.m. across from Hunt Hall.

Voters in California can return their ballots to any polling place in the state, so even if you live outside of Yolo County, you can drop off your ballot on campus and it will be forwarded to your county elections office.

Yolo County voters today will have their say in presidential primaries, a primary contest for the seat of late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a statewide proposition, a Davis Joint Unified School District parcel tax and more.

UC Davis and the University of California have resources for voters.

“Elections matter, and so does your vote!” UC President Michael V. Drake said on social media.
