This week’s Thank-a-Thon isn’t just for students. It’s also for faculty and staff who want to express their thanks — in writing or on video, or both — to the people who contributed to The Campaign for UC Davis.

The Thank-a-Thon is one of numerous ways in which UC Davis is thanking donors and everyone in the university community for their support of The Campaign for UC Davis. It doesn’t conclude until May 31, but officials announced in November that the campaign had met its $1 billion goal.

The donor relations team in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations is hosting the Thank-a-Thon, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday (April 30), in front of the Student Community Center. The organizers said the event will be picture-perfect: Take a selfie (and post it with the hashtag #thanksabillion) or step inside a photo booth!

The event also will include prizes and refreshments, and a visit by Gunrock, the organizers said.

“We hope that you can join us to say ‘thank you’ to the many supporters who are helping to advance UC Davis’ excellence through their philanthropic giving,” the organizers said.
