Chancellor Gary S. May is no stranger to bikes, but he stopped by the ASUCD Bike Barn recently to hear from some true experts on the topic. He was visiting for a special May is Bike Month edition of That May Be the Chancellor, where he makes unexpected appearances around campus. In previous episodes, he joined up with groundskeepers to help with gardening and popped into Shields Library to reshelve books.
This time, student employees shared information about the services the Bike Barn provides and tips for keeping a bike in tip-top shape, then loaned the chancellor a bike with a “chancellor” pennant to take for a spin. Watch the above video for more.

The good and the bad
Sure, you can smell the cows near the Tercero Residence Hall area — but you might get used to it. That was some of the feedback shared by students who were asked to give their honest opinions on UC Davis. Watch the video above to hear them share tips they wish they’d known, the best part of the Arboretum and more.
Taking their oath, virtually
School of Medicine students weren’t able to take the physician’s oath in person this year, but you can still watch this traditional part of commencement. Dozens of students recorded themselves taking the oath as part of the school’s virtual commencement, and many of the videos can be seen above.
