Surge IV burglary nets computers, bike, chess set
Police are investigating the theft of three laptop computers, a bicycle and a chess set in a break-in at the Surge IV administrative offices during the Thanksgiving break. Investigators said the burglar or burglars kicked in several doors to take the property valued at $5,600.
The computers belonged to the School of Veterinary Medicine and the other items belonged to employees, Sgt. Don Malloy said. The loss also included a chess game timer.
In a campuswide crime alert, police reminded people to write down and store the serial numbers for all computers, to report any suspicious activity, and to notify Facilities Management of any malfunctioning doors or windows. You can contact Facilities Management via its website or by phone, (530) 752-1655.
Police also warn the campus community not to hold doors open for strangers, and to not lend keys.
Anyone with information about the Surge IV burglary is asked to call police, (530) 754-2677.
Save the date: ADMAN Annual Conference
The Administrative Management Group says “save the date” — Wednesday, March 11 — for the annual ADMAN conference, open to all staff.
The conference, like this year’s, will be workshop-style development day with multiple breakout sessions.

He has written multiple books, most recently Time for Leadership: The Accomplishing More In Less Time, Less Effort and Less Stress Leadership Journey. Other titles include Accomplishing More With Google Apps, The New New Inbox: How Email and Social Media Changed Our Lives, and The Smartphone Experiment.
The ADMAN conference is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Conference Center. A reception is scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m.
Registration is not yet open; watch for details on the conference website, and remember, enrollment is limited.
