Transportation Services announced it has suspended enforcement of parking permits in regular stalls (A, C, L, etc.) until further notice.

Permit holders who pay by monthly payroll deductions saw no deduction for April, and will see no deductions for May, either (as reflected on biweekly paychecks May 27 and monthly paychecks June 1). Now, Transportation Services is canceling these deductions.

Refunds are being processed for other permit holders — those who paid online or through the Transportation Services office. No administrative fees are being assessed for these refunds, provided the permits are returned by June 1 (the deadline has been extended from May 20). The refunds will cover all of April, and any time after that, through the expiration date. Permits returned after June 1 will be processed in accordance with Transportation Services’ standard policy, which authorizes a $15 administrative fee

And, while all campus parking permits normally expire in June, the annual permit renewal period will be postponed until further notice.

"This means you may continue to park in unrestricted spaces on campus at no cost until regular parking enforcement and permit requirements are in effect,” officials said in an email to permit holders. "Transportation Services will send an email notification to you prior to reinstating permit requirements. At that time, you will be provided the opportunity to request a new permit and enroll in payroll deductions.”

On May 18, Transportation Services resumed parking enforcement in restricted spaces, including red zones (no parking) and spaces reserved for disabled people.
