The UC Davis Quarter Century Club, for employees with 25 years or more of service to the university, this year adds 183 members and recognizes 65 members who have reached the 50-year milestone.

All 248 — who collectively have put in nearly 8,000 years of service to UC Davis — are due to be honored at the club's 73rd annual dinner meeting, Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Activities and Recreation Center Ballroom.

Human Resources identified the new members from among all classifications: faculty, staff and administration.

A club representative said dinner invitations have been mailed to the new members and the existing club membership, and "veterans" are asked to connect with "newbies" to encourage them to join the celebration.
