April 16, Saturday -- About 50,000 people are expected to attend Picnic Day, the annual open house at UC Davis. Believed to be the largest student-run event in the country, Picnic Day includes departmental exhibits, tours, a parade, athletic and recreational events, animal events, children's activities and entertainment.
