UC wants us to “move more” during the UC Living Well Move More Challenge and beyond.
The challenge encourages employees and retirees to exercise for at least 30 minutes, three days a week, for six weeks, June 23 to Aug. 3. For each of us who succeeds, we will earn points toward this year’s UC Living Well incentive — if we’re enrolled in a UC-sponsored medical plan and eligible for the incentive. See below for more information on eligibility.
The Move More Challenge is worth 2,500 points, or three-quarters of the 7,500 required to receive the incentive, a $75 Visa gift card. More about the incentive program, including how to collect points.
You can join the Move More Challenge as an individual, or, you can put together or join a team for additional motivation. You’re also invited to check in with a wellness coach for personal support, by calling this toll-free number: (855) 688-9775.
According to UC Living Well, an online tool will be available to track your activity, and Optum — UC’s partner in Living Well — already offers a free app, OptumizeMe (for Apple and Android mobile devices), that will sync with the challenge.
Registration will be conducted online starting next Tuesday, June 10. Click on the “I want-I get” box to open your personal Wellness Website (or to set one up), then look for the Move More Challenge under “Featured Links.”
