“If they need us, we’re here,” says Margaret Walter, executive director of Student Health and Wellness. “While students are away from campus, they still have access to care. Give us a call.”

Student Health and Counseling Services has published tips and resources for managing fears and anxiety around coronavirus. Walter said some of those tips and certainly the resources are helpful whether students are having difficulty living and studying remotely or dealing with other life issues.

Students can talk by phone or video conference with UC Davis counselors. Appointments can be arranged through Health-e-Messaging or by calling Counseling Services at 530-752-0871 Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Then, students will receive instructions on how to download the Therapy Assistance Online platform, or TAO, and sign in to connect with their counselor for the appointment.

The platform also offers a library of self-help videos and interactive resources on various topics. Aggies need to use their @ucdavis.edu email to access them.

At any time, online video visits with licensed professionals are available through LiveHealth Online.
