Much of the state may be shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, but research at UC Davis is continuing.

“Our researchers are actively engaged in research related to COVID-19 in the areas of testing, treatments and development of vaccines," said Prasant Mohapatra, vice chancellor for research.

Mohapatra also touts the university’s unique position “to address the current problem,” thanks to collaboration, infrastructure, intellectual capabilities and facilities at UC Davis.

As well, Mohapatra is working with a “faculty task force to outline a plan for ramping up our on-campus activities when the situation improves.”
